Franck Beaurain is Puhoi Valley’s Head Cheesemaker.  Originally hailing from Normandy, France, Franck first learnt the art of cheesemaking at the University of Paris and Caen where he studied organic chemistry, biochemistry microbiology and milk science.

With over 28 years experience, in France, the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand Franck brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the art of creating and refining beautiful cheeses at Puhoi Valley. 

Franck’s passion is to make world class New Zealand made cheeses that rival the original European made cheeses.
